7 THINGS EVERYONE SHOULD KNOW...to making self storage easy

First time self storage user? Bombarded with unfamiliar information? Our self storage checklist will save you time when organising your storage with RedSpot.

Your possessions wont be covered should they be placed in storage without adequate insurance. To protect you against loss or damage, your items must be insured. RedSpot offers insurance protection under our own insurance policy, but if you have existing household insurance then let us know if your already covered>>

Direct Debit can be easily set up online. Once you’ve which booked your storage unit, we’ll send you an online application which should only take a minute to complete.

Customers are asked to pay a minimum refundable deposit of four weeks storage fees before storing your valuables. However, once you have completed your Direct Debit we’ll reduce this to just one week’s storage fees.

You’re the only key holder to your storage unit at RedSpot. You’ll need a secure padlock, which are available to purchase if you don’t have one.

Yes. Security is very important to all our customers, and therefore we will ask you for two forms of identification before you store your items.

Please provide one form of ID from group A and one from group B:

Group A: Driving Licence (current), Passport (valid), Employee ID card (photo).

Group B: Proof of residence – for example a utilities bill, Council Tax bill or  bank statement.

We’ll do everything we can to get you the right sized storage unit before you move in, but sometimes you just have more than you thought you needed. When you arrive have a look at your storage unit and if it’s not suitable you can change it to the next available size

You can use our storage services for as long as you like, there’s no set date to move out. After the initial payment, we will provide you with an invoice every 4 weeks, and as soon as you are ready to move out just give us 14 days written notice. There are no long-term contracts or commitments; you only keep the storage unit for as long as you need.
